About the Mossel Bay Golf Estate

Setting the Scene

The development of the Mossel Bay Golf Estate followed an agreement of sale in October 1997 between the Mossel Bay Municipality and Innside Investments (the developer). In accordance with the agreement, Innside Investments upgraded the Mossel Bay golf course, club house and parking area. As further part of the sale, the Municipality had to enter into a new lease agreement with the Mossel Bay Golf Club (Golf Club) extending the lease period to 99 years. In addition, this property may only be used as a golf course and no other purpose without obtaining the prior consent of the Mossel Bay Golf Estate Home Owners Association (HOA), thereby securing tenure.

The re-zoning and sub-division approval for the development incorporated the responsibility of the HOA to maintain and manage the portion of the St Blaze Nature Reserve on the southern frontage of the Estate. Fencing of erven within the development was restricted to allow for the unhindered movement of wild life.

During 2020 the HOA, Golf Club and Municipality solidified their commitment to uphold a sound relationship by entering into a co-operation agreement. This agreement is valid until June 2025 and may be renewed for a further 5-year period. In terms of the agreement the HOA make payment to the Golf Club towards capital and improvement projects. In return HOA members is provided with a Golf Club loyalty card which enjoy benefits of rebates and privileges on the same basis as a member of the Club.

Home owners and residents are encouraged to patronise the Club House with its appealing setting and restaurant via a dedicated entrance.
